Management Servers

A management server is a centralized system responsible for managing, recording, storing, and distributing video feeds from CCTV cameras. It acts as the brain of a surveillance infrastructure, allowing administrators to monitor, configure, and control all aspects of the CCTV system from one place. Without it, managing multiple cameras, ensuring continuous recording, and retrieving footage would be inefficient and unreliable – especially in large-scale security environments such as airports, schools, malls, and smart cities.

Main Functions of a Management Server

  • Central Configuration: Stores the entire system’s configuration including settings for the cameras, recording servers and client functionalities.
  • User Management: Controls access levels and permissions for all users.
  • Failover: It can be configured with failover capabilities, allowing other server(s) to take over if one fails.
  • Rule System: Manages and distributes the rule system which defines how the system reacts to certain, such as alarms or motion detection.

Common Features & Capabilities

Our management servers are designed and then hand-built-in-house for performance, reliability, and scalability – giving you more control, better visibility, and smarter security. Instead of providing consulting services to customize or “make work” an OEM’s hardware to try and match the project’s requirements, we design and build from scratch offering significant performance, reliability and quality advantages.
